Leone Henning, 87, Wahpeton, died Saturday, March 5, 2005, in St. Catherines Living Center, Wahpeton.
Leone Brierley was born April 15, 1917, in Fargo, where she grew up and graduated from high school. On April 18, 1938, she married Harold Henning in Fargo. They lived in Escanaba, Mich., and Appleton, Wis. They then moved to Seattle, where she worked as a cashier for Boeing. They later moved to Grand Forks, N.D., where she worked for Herbergers. In 1967, they moved to Wahpeton, where she worked as a counselor for the Wahpeton Indian School. She also worked for Caspers Furniture, Wahpeton. He died in 1988. She worked as a jewelry saleswoman in Colorado. She entered the care center in 2000.
She is survived by a son, Bryan (Cheryl), Larkspur, Colo.; a daughter, Jane (Klaus) Liedtke, Scottsdale, Ariz.; a brother, Bryan (Elna) Brierley, Fargo; and four grandchildren.
Visitation: Tuesday from 4 to 8 in Willow Creek Chapel, Wahpeton.
Funeral: Wednesday at 2:30 in the chapel.
Burial: Fairview Memorial Gardens, Wahpeton.
