Town Hall celebrating new management

The Town Hall Bar is celebrating new ownership and management with a special grand reopening party scheduled for Saturday, May 5, at its longtime landmark West Fargo location at 103 W. Main Ave.

Greg and Betty Peterson officially took over the business Feb. 19; while Ken Stoltman is the new manager. The Petersons also own Ace Liquors, located directly across the street from the Town Hall, and the Fingal Bar and Grill.

The Petersons are both hands-on owners. Betty served as assistant director for a Moorhead daycare for 15 years until it closed earlier this year. She splits her time between all three locations, but can be found at Ace Liquor during the day. Greg holds down a full-time employment position and spends evening and weekends assisting at the three locations. Stoltman has previous bar experience, and had known the Petersons for years, so when the manager position presented itself, he felt it was the right opportunity at the right time.

The grand reopening will feature an afternoon and evening of fun, including burgers and brats served from noon to 6 p.m.; happy hour all day; as well as several door prizes to be given away. Karaoke will also be featured from 9 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.

Stoltman said there are no major changes being planned at the Town Hall. "We are holding the grand reopening to let everyone know the business is under new management. We have kept Dave Dvorak and Scott Platfers as staff members and are going to try and keep it pretty much like it has been in the past, since that is what everybody seems to like." Stoltman said he would encourage any former patrons who have not stopped in for a while to do so during the grand reopening.

Dart and pool leagues will also continue as a regular at the Town Hall, along with the Nascar Sunday promotions that have proved to be very popular.

Hours at the Town Hall Bar also remain the same: 10 a.m. to 2 a.m., Monday through Thursday; 9 a.m. to 2 a.m., Friday and Saturday; and noon to 2 a.m. on Sunday.
