West Fargo High School to present James and the Giant Peach

The West Fargo High School drama department will present "James and the Giant Peach" on October 17 and 18 in the school's theater. The script is adapted by Richard George from a children's book written by Roald Dahl, a Welsch author who also wrote "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Matilda."

The humorous plot contains bazaar twists and turns after James Henry Trotter, a four-year-old boy, is orphaned when his parents are eaten by a rhinoceros escaped from the London Zoo. James is sent to live with two cruel old aunts.

The young boy is horrified to realize he may have missed his only chance to escape the guardianship of his wicked aunts when he accidentally drops the magic beans given to him by a stranger who feels sorry for him.
