The Cheney Middle School drama department will be presenting Disney's "Beauty and the Beast Jr." on Tuesday, Feb. 10, and Thursday, Feb. 12. Matinees will begin at 1:30 p.m., with evening performances at 7:30 p.m.

Directed by Susie Morken, and assisted by Jo Brekke, the production will include a cast and crew of about 75 sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students who have been rehearsing since mid-December. The 70 minute show will include familiar characters such as Belle, the Beast, Lumiere, Cogsworth, Mrs. Potts, Chip, and Gaston.

"Parent support has been tremendous, with parents constructing the set, painting, and working on costumes," Morken said last week in an email.

Tickets for the evening performances may be purchased in advance at the Cheney Middle School office. Tickets are $5, with free admission for children five years old or younger. Tickets for the afternoon matinees may be purchased at the door.

Cheney Middle School is located at 825 17th Ave. E., West Fargo. For more information, call 356-2090.
