Day 3: Spicy Gingersnaps

Spicy Gingersnaps

(Cookies become crisp when cool)

3/4 cup butter

1 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup molasses

1 egg

2 cups flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons baking soda

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon cloves

1 teaspoon ginger

Cream butter and sugar; beat in molasses and egg and mix well. Blend in dry ingredients; chill. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Roll in granulated sugar. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
