Karaoke event at VFW to raise money for homeless veterans

West Fargo VFW Post 7564 and Great Plains Integrated Marketing are joining forces to raise money for homeless veterans.

Starting Thursday, May 12, and continuing for five weeks, the West Fargo VFW, located at 308 Sheyenne St., will be the site for a Karaoke night featuring Pepper's Karaoke, with winners determined by a new twist - how much money they raise each night for the cause while singing.

Eagle 106.9, Thunder 106.1, AM 1100 The Flag, and Ag News 890 KQLX will take turns hosting the weekly event.

The event is open to everyone wishing to participate age 21 and older. Singers can plan on singing one night or all five sessions. Sign up begins at 6:30 p.m., with singing to start at 7 p.m.

All proceeds from the sessions will go directly to benefit local homeless veterans.

The West Fargo VFW is hosting the event while Great Plains Integrated marketing's role was to identify sponsors to provide the Karaoke as well as a matching donation for all the money raised.

Prizes will be awarded to the winners each night, also provided by Great Plains.
