Week In history: Sept. 5, 2018
September 2003 marked the release of the book West Fargo: A Work in Progress, a two-year project undertaken by Wayne Gudmundson's Advanced Photography students from MSUM to preserve a snapshot of West Fargo. The students were introduced to West Fargo by Pioneer Photography Editor Dave Samson. Photography took place over a 16-18 month period starting in 2001. The book was compiled by Ann Arbor Miller.
The beginning of September 2008 was one for the record books. A cold front moved in to the area the evening of Sunday, Sept. 2. When the rain stopped Monday morning West Fargo had received 2.5 inches of rain. The previous record set in 1999 was 2.32 inches.
