Movie of the Month: "Goodbye Christopher Robin": 1 p.m. Thursday. After serving in World War I, classic children's author A.A Milne writes stories about his son Christopher and his beloved toy animal friends, only to become an international success with lasting fame. PG. Free admission and popcorn.
Make a Card for a Veteran: 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Thank local heroes and create cards for Veterans. The cards will be given to the Veterans Hospital in Fargo in honor of the Veterans Day holiday. No registration is required
Encore Art Exhibit Meet the Artist Event: 10:30 a.m. Saturday. West Fargo photographer Dr. Ken Andersen explores a variety of historic photo processes in this exhibit.
Technology Class: iPad Basics: 1 p.m. Tuesday. Learn about the basics of using an iPad, including navigation, settings, app store and camera. Bring an iPad or use one of the library's iPads. Space is limited. Please register at the service desk or by calling 701-551-8940.
Gift Mixes and the Tradition of the Family Table: 7 p.m. Tuesday. Join Julie Garden-Robinson, NDSU Extension Food and Nutrition Specialist, as she presents ideas for making homemade gift mixes for the holidays plus talks about the tradition of the family table. STEM Explorers: 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) through activities, experiments, and games every Thursday afternoon (when school is in session). No registration required. Supplies and a snack will be provided. Free and open to kids in grades three to eight.
Friday Morning Movie — "Ferdinand": 10:30 a.m. Friday. Join us every Friday morning for a showing of a fun and family friendly movie.Free popcorn.
Genealogy: Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Staff Genealogist Jackie Marler will be available to help explore family history. Bring projects or just ask questions. Visit the Historical Center located on the library's main floor.
Simply Stories: 10:15 a.m. Tuesday. This session is geared for lap babies and preschoolers and is just stories — no crafts. For stories and simple make-and-take crafts, visit the library at 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays. Registration is not required.
Storytime with a Craft: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Story times are geared for preschool through first grade age children and their caretakers. Daycares are welcome, but for groups larger than five, please call ahead at (701) 433-5460. Registration is not required.
After-school Art: 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Join us for art, crafts, and other projects every Tuesday afternoon (when school is in session). No registration required. Supplies and a snack will be provided. Free and open to kids in grades K-8.
Twisted Stitchers: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Join this fun group for an evening of knitting or crochet. Come with your own supplies. Not for beginners, but tips will be given to knitters and crocheters needing help. No pre-registration required.
Lego and Game Club: 4 p.m. Wednesday. Stop in every Wednesday afternoon (when school is in session) for Legos and board games. No registration required. Open to kids in grades K-8.
Technology Tutoring: 4-5 p.m. Wednesday. Drop in for a one-on-one tutoring session to get help with technology questions and build skills. Bring a device or use one of the library's iPads or computers. All ages are welcome and no registration is needed.

Picture Book Month Storytime: 6 p.m. Nov. 15. November is Picture Book Month. Read a selection of picture books and create a special make-and-take craft project. Program is free and open to all ages. No registration is required.
Caramel Apple Day: 4-5 p.m. Nov. 16. Caramel apples with lots of toppings. Free. No registration is required and all ages invited.
New Release Movie: "Incredibles 2": 2 p.m. Nov. 17. Rated PG. Free admission and popcorn.
Pine Needle Sew and Chat: 1 p.m. Nov. 18. Open to all who have taken a Pine Needle Basketry class either at the West Fargo Public Library or elsewhere. Bring works in progress or begin a new one. West Fargo resident Mary Marohl will work on her pine needle projects, answer questions and help with supplies. Come to work or observe. No registration required.
Thanksgiving Turkey Crafts: 2 p.m. Nov. 21. School is out for the holiday, so stop by the library and make a special turkey to take along and show your family. We will have a variety of turkey crafts for all ages. Program is free and no registration is required.
Encore Art Exhibit featuring Ken Andersen's "Focus on the Process" (photography): Sept. 20 — Dec. 18. The West Fargo Public Library is hosting its first "Encore Art Exhibit" this fall, a series of select showings previously on display in other metro venues. The inaugural exhibit is called "Focus on the Process: The Art, History, and Science of Photographic Printing" by Dr. Ken Andersen of West Fargo. In addition to viewing examples of photographs processed using these different techniques, visitors will learn about the processes themselves.
World War I Remembrance Posters and Henry C Stotlar Exhibit: Sept. 10 — Dec. 31. Long-time Fargo resident and businessman Henry C. Stotlar (1891-1972) served in France during World War I. View the memorabilia that he kept along with other WWI items saved by his family.
The library will be closed on Nov. 11 and 12 for the Veterans Day holiday.
