Moorhead traffic stop nets nearly 8 pounds of pot
MOORHEAD — Moorhead police arrested a Fargo man during a traffic stop Tuesday evening, Aug. 28, that yielded nearly 8 pounds of marijuana.
According to documents filed in Clay County District Court:
An officer stopped a car in the 600 block of Main Avenue in Moorhead about 6:17 p.m. Tuesday after noticing the car’s registration had expired.
The officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the car, and a search was done. In all, more than 7 ½ pounds of marijuana was seized.
The driver, identified in court documents as Luke Fischer, 22, was arrested and later charged with three felony counts relating to fifth-degree controlled substance crimes.
