Fargo woman arrested after gun incident at Moorhead Buffalo Wild Wings
MOORHEAD — A 47-year-old Fargo woman was arrested after police officers were called to Buffalo Wild Wings on a report of a person with a gun Sunday night, Sept. 9.
At about 7:38 p.m., officers were dispatched to the restaurant at 2201 2nd Ave. N. on a report of a woman inside the bar area making suicidal comments while armed with a handgun. According to police reports, the suspect told staff to evacuate the building. The restaurant's management attempted to evacuate all staff and customers prior to the officers' arrival.
The first officer on scene learned the suspect was still inside bar, armed with a gun, and was "cornering" staff. Officers entered and took the suspect into custody without incident. A replica firearm was recovered.
The suspect was identified as Jennifer Joan Thomas. She was being held at the Clay County Jail Monday, Sept. 10, on suspicion of threats of violence; disorderly conduct; fourth-degree assault of a police officer; and possession of a fake firearm.
Thomas appears to have an injury to one of her eyes in her jail mugshot and it was unclear Monday how she may have suffered it.
A message left with a police spokesman inquiring about the injury was not returned at the time this story went to print.
