WFPS New Neighbor Night set for tomorrow

West Fargo Public Schools has announced that the district’s second Annual New Neighbor Night Celebration is coming up tomorrow night. New Neighbor Night was established last year as a way to recognize and honor the diversity within WFPS, as well as the district’s ever-increasing New American population. With over 600 people in attendance last year, it was a wonderful example of the growing community.

The goals of the 2013 Celebration are to increase cultural awareness and to build cultural pride among all attendees, regardless of their race, ethnicity or origin. Students and their families can share their culture and learn about other, different cultures; visit with friends and make new ones; and start growing relationships across the school and community. Attendees will be treated to a variety of ethnic foods, a fashion show and a talent show. Door prizes donated/funded by local businesses, individuals and WFPS student and teacher groups will also be given away.

Everyone is encouraged to join in the fun of the 2nd Annual New Neighbor Night Celebration on Thursday, April 18 from 6 - 9 p.m. at West Fargo High School.
