Horace begins search for its first city administrator
HORACE, N.D. – Horace has kicked off the search for its first-ever city administrator.
The Horace City Council at its Nov. 6 meeting approved the creation of the position, a first for the community south of West Fargo.
In a written statement, Horace City Council Member David Fenelon, who also will serve as leader of the search committee for the new position, said the city has seen steady growth in its housing and businesses. Its population has jumped from about 900 in 2000 to nearly 2,700 today.
“We’re at the point where we need someone on the job full-time to manage the city’s day-to-day operations and help position our community for smart growth,” Fenelon said.
According to a news release, the city administrator will help plan, direct, manage and oversee operations as the city continues to grow. Resumes will be accepted through Jan. 21.
