At the beginning of October 1983, the West Fargo School Board established a committee to study options for augmenting the middle and high schools to accommodate the larger classes coming up. New buildings in Horace and Harwood and additions to South, Eastwood and Westside Elementary Schools, the overcrowding in the elementary schools and been alleviated.The senior class in 1983 was 200, the eighth grade had 275 students.
The early October 2003 temperatures may have been in the 80's, but the original Veterans Memorial Arena was being prepared for the beginning of hockey practice. New dasher-boards with National Hockey League approved glass had been installed and the Packer bull logo painted at center ice just waiting for the ice laid over it.
