The sun’s fiery conveyor belts skim the surface of the sun, sweeping up the magnetic fields of old, dead sunspots. The "corpses" are dragged down at the poles to a depth into the solar depths, where they’re recharged by the sun’s rotation. Reincarnated, they become buoyant and float back to the surface to make new sunspots! NASA
