The rain has stopped, the temperature has risen and school is out for the summer. Kids rejoice when summer comes around, but they need something to do with all of that free time in June, July and August.

Luckily, the West Fargo Park District has them covered.

The district offers a wide variety of sports and recreational activities for children of all ages, including: baseball, softball, soccer, archery, basketball, flag football, ice skating, volleyball and Tae Kwon Do, among others.

For those looking for a less organized activity -- and possibly looking to beat the heat -- Veteran's Memorial Pool is open every day of the week until July 24th. It is open from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for open swim, and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. for family swim.

Registration for baseball, softball and soccer are closed as the seasons have started. Registration for other activities can be done at
