After the previous week’s game was cancelled, the Packers picked up right where they left off with their fourth consecutive win, this time a 14-7 victory over the Fargo South Bruins on a wet, windy Friday night.

The win keeps the Packers tied for the top spot in the Eastern Dakota Conference, as they and Fargo Davies are both 4-0 in conference play.

Junior running back Sam Olsen carried the load for West Fargo, picking up 107 yards on 10 carries, most of which came on an 86-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.

The West Fargo defense, along with the elements, was able to keep South’s high-scoring offense grounded, allowing just 31 passing yards.

Sophomore defensive end Alex Talley recorded the only interception for the Packers. While junior Zach Larson, junior Brady Heisler and senior Pajtim Lika each recovered a fumble.

The Packer’s next will take place on Saturday, as they will head to Grand Forks Red River (3-1 in the EDC) for a 4 p.m. game.
