Ex-Packers standout earns All-Conference honors

Jamestown College volleyball player Ali Edwards, West Fargo, was named to the All-Conference first team by the Dakota Athletic Conference. This is the second year Edwards has been named to the first team.

Edwards, a senior outside hitter, was among the league leaders in hitting (14th at .221), kills (second with 3.55 per game), aces (ninth at 0.31/game) and digs (12th at 3.27 per game).

The Jimmies (23-8) won the regular season conference championship and took second place in the conference tournament.

Edwards now is playing her senior season on the Jimmies women's basketball team.

During her volleyball career at West Fargo, Edwards earned back-to-back All-State and All-EDC honors from the 2004-05 and 2005-06 seasons. She also was named senior athlete of the year and was the team's Most Valuable Player in 2005-06.
