West Fargo, Sheyenne take wins before West Fargo dance invitational

Before its own invitational, the West Fargo Packatahnas dance program won multiple categories at the Fargo North Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 2.

The varsity team placed first in kick and jazz and third in pom. The West Fargo Sheyenne varsity dance team took first in the pom category and runner-up in high kick, jazz and hip hop.

The Packatahnas junior varsity placed first in kick, jazz and pom. The Sheyenne junior varsity took second place in pom and jazz.

The Packatahnas will be hosting West Fargo High School's 23rd Annual Dance Invitational at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9. According to a press release, 46 teams from North Dakota and Minnesota will be competing.

The competition will include jazz, kick, pom and hip hop routines with team categories in college, varsity Class A and B, junior varsity Class A and B, junior high and studio along with cheer exhibition performances.

The event is open to the public and tickets can be purchased at entry. Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for students and seniors and children under 5 years old are free. Each admission ticket gives entry into a gift basket raffle. Tickets for a basket raffle, a 50/50 raffle and concessions are also available.
