West Fargo Bombers win big at Fall Cup

The West Fargo Soccer Club's Bombers, a U-12 girls team, came home recently with a big win.

The Bombers took first place in the C3 division during the National Sports Center Fall Cup in Blaine, Minn., on Oct. 8-9.  The Fall Cup is the largest fall youth soccer tournament held in the U.S. 

The Bombers opened play with a 3-1 victory over Dakota Rev. They then beat MBSA 1-0, and the Centennial Panthers 5-0 to advance to the championship.

It took overtime, but the Bombers eventually defeated Minnesota Thunder Academy 6-4 for the title.

Bombers team members that attend the school are Rebecca Olien, Bryanne Leiseth, Jadyn Leiseth, Savannah Carlson, Madison Urlaub, Emmy Burtsfield, Calista Soeby, Kali Lovgren, Jillyan Bledsoe, Lexi Kleespies, and Faith Tenold. 

There were three other West Fargo teams that also attended the NSC Fall Cup. They included two U-11 girls teams (the Fury and Strikers), and a boys U-13 team (the Lightning).
