Soccer club takes two indoor titles in Brainerd

The Fargo Soccer Club's group of West Fargo girls continues to succeed, taking two titles and one second-place finish at the Brainerd Lakes Area Youth Soccer Association IceBreaker indoor soccer tournament on Saturday, April 6, in Brainerd, Minn.

The U12 Rage team not only won all four games in their bracket, but scored 45 goals in the process while only giving up seven. They won by scores of 11-2, 13-2, 9-1 and beat Brainerd 12-2 in the championship game. The team's roster consisted of Tianna Daniels, Kylee Aberle, Elle Hill, Emily Hanson - all of West Fargo - along with Kennedy Ohlhauser and Sara McMullen of Fargo.

The U16 Mayhem team won all four games, scoring 32 and giving up 18 as they controlled the U17 Girls bracket. They won by scores 9-5, 6-4, 8-5 and 9-4 en route to the championship. Madison Urlaub is the lone member of the team from West Fargo, with Kaylee Barker, Sierra Kolle, Carolyn Smith and Hannah Riveland all from Moorhead.

The U13 Sheyenne United team won all three games leading up to the championship, but fell in the final game by a score of 5-2. The team is made up of West Fargo residents Emmy Burtsfield, Jadyn Leiseth, Bryanne Leiseth, Savannah Carlson, Alexus Kleespies, Rebecca Olien and Caitlin Whitehead.

All three teams are coached by Kelvin Daniels.

The soccer club will be in action on the weekend of May 10 for the Woodbury Classic Tournament in Woodbury, Minn.
