Levin wins state in three events

West Fargo's junior trackster Amanda Levin had the best state tournament outing possible during the state championships this weekend, taking the title in the 100-, 200- and 400-meter races.

Levin became the first Packer to take the title in any of those three events.

She ran the 100 in 12.05 seconds, the 200 in 25.19 seconds and the 400 in 58.57 seconds.

She was also a part of the second-place 800-meter relay team.

The Packers only other state title came from long jumper Jaime Heinen-Lugert, who jump 23 feet, 9-1/2 inches to take the crown.
