Softball wins one of three
The Packers softball has finally taken the field, but had to drive 250 miles to do so.
The team traveled to North St. Paul on Saturday, where they beat Totino-Grace 7-1 before falling to North St. Paul 7-3 and Rice Lake (Wis.) 4-0.
The highlight of the tournament came from junior pitcher Brittany Rheault, who struck out 20 batters in two games and picked up the win against Totino-Grace.
In that game, both senior third baseman Lexi Lennon and sophomore outfielder Morgan Stirling hit home runs.
The Packers are scheduled to travel to Bemidji to face the Lumberjacks on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
