Longtime friends and 1988 Alexandria graduates (left to right) Tonya Bakewell Dreher, Cathy Grove Barker and Natalie Johnson Annis, will soon take a trip of a lifetime together. They are taking part in the 15-day Everest to End Duchenne trek to raise money for research for Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Dreher's son, Gus, 12, has Duchenne's, which is the most severe of all the muscular dystrophies. (Contributed)
