A goat goes to town on a buckthorn branch Monday at Cottage Grove Ravine Reigonal Park. The Washington County Parks contracted with Goat Dispatch, a vegetation management company in Faribault who rent out the herds as an eco-friendly way to remove buckthorn and other invasive plant species. The 20 goats will stay in Ravine for two weeks, inside a fenced in paddock. They are expected to clear three acres of woodland. (Forum News Service photo by William Loeffler)play button
