Cupcakes are a fan favorite for just about anybody. Sheyenne High School junior Amanda Dauwen knows this pretty well and decided to turn a hobby into an operation. “A lot of people don’t get to do what they like, so it’s nice that I can,” she explains. Dauwen started her cupcake business in 6th grade after her sister’s graduation party, when she was asked to make 200 cupcakes. Soon after she was getting orders for birthday, business and graduation parties.
