On paper, the Packers' girls soccer team had a fantastic season, losing just one game and playing to two draws. However, when your regular season takes place in a span of two weeks in a conference with plenty of tough teams, that fantastic season unfortunately equates to only a No. 4 seed come playoff time. Despite that, the 4-1-2 Packers are happy with their performance in 2013. "I thought we've played really well," starting goalkeeper and captain Amy Archibald said. "We stayed strong as a team and held our own in both halves of the season."

Fargo Shanley took the top spot as a team, as well as the second-, third- and fourth-place finishes individually. In all three meets this season, Johnson has taken the top spot. In this meet, he was followed in scoring by eighth-grader Cole Johnson's score of 82 for the Packers and senior Chase Pulczinski's score of 91.

In the spring of 2012, both the Packers' baseball and softball teams took home the North Dakota State Championships, but questions for the 2013 season arose for both teams, as the softball team lost five seniors and the baseball had a complete overhaul of its roster. The changeover does not seem to matter, however, as both teams are currently at or very near the top of the Eastern Dakota Conference standings.
