WEST FARGO — The West Fargo Police Department has confirmed 38-year-old Johnny Grey of West Fargo was killed in a vehicle crash late Saturday, June 22.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the crash happened at 11:44 p.m. — a correction from an earlier report from police which had the time at 2:30 a.m. — in the 1400 block of 10th Street Southwest in West Fargo.
Grey was a passenger in a 2008 Honda Civic driven by 34-year-old Daniel Dalpozzo of West Fargo.
The Honda was southbound on 10th Street Southwest when it went into the wrong lane and hit a parked 2014 Ford F-150 pickup truck and pushed the truck into a parked 2016 Ford Focus, severely damaging all three vehicles, the patrol said.
The parked vehicles were not occupied at the time. Dalpozzo was taken to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo to be treated for injuries. Grey died at the scene, according to the West Fargo Police Department.
Neither Dalpozzo nor Grey were wearing a seat belt, according to the patrol. The crash remains under investigation and the patrol says charges are pending against Dalpozzo.
