FARGO-South Fargo may soon be home to a new authentic Mexican restaurant.

According to city records, Enclave Development has submitted plans for a Plaza Azteca restaurant at 5505 28th Ave. S.

The first Plaza Azteca restaurant was founded in the late 1990s in Virginia Beach, Va., by natives of Jalisco, Mexico, according to the company website. Today, the franchise includes 40 restaurants, primarily located on the East Coast.

Calls placed to Enclave and Plaza Azteca headquarters were not returned.
