Kirsten Husebye is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (ND) who treats children, adolescents and adults. Kirsten has worked as a counselor for 11 years, and graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a Master of Science degree in Community Counseling in 2009. Areas of focus and interest include treating children, adolescents and adults with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, adjustment and stress related concerns, anxiety and depression. Kirsten also has specialized training and 10 years of professional experience in providing child, adult and family therapeutic services following separation, interpersonal violence, abuse or neglect. Kirsten also completed training and practice in an integrative health setting with a focus on providing support and behavioral health services to people with chronic illness diagnoses. Kirsten has completed training and practice in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and also integrates practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy and mindfulness training within a collaborative and empowering approach.
