Dr. Drew to kick off North Dakota Behavioral Health Conference
FARGO – The North Dakota Department of Human Services’ Behavioral Health Division will bring in celebrity physician and media personality Dr. Drew Pinsky for its annual North Dakota Behavioral Health Conference.
The event is set for Sept. 4-7 at the Holiday Inn, 3803 13th Ave. S., Fargo.
Pinsky will kick off the conference, which aims to support individuals and professionals in developing, supporting and providing a well-functioning behavioral health system. He’s known for his hosting duties through several outlets, including “Midday Live” on KABC in Los Angeles, podcasts “The Adam and Drew Podcast,” “This Life” and “Weekly Infusion,” and several past gigs on MTV reality shows, including “Teen Mom OG.”
Other programming during the conference will focus on topics including harm reduction, marijuana, community recovery support services, substance abuse prevention, effective peer support, pain management without medication, LGBTQ+ people and more.
Behavioral health professionals, policymakers, consumers, advocates, health care professionals, first responders and other are invited to register and attend. Registration is now open and is $60 per day or $150 for the whole conference.
