Special Events

After-school Art: 3 p.m. Tuesday. Art, crafts and other projects the first Tuesday of every month (when school is in session). No registration required. Supplies and a snack will be provided. Free and open to kids in grades K-8.

Twisted Stitchers Knitting Class-Beginners: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Twisted Stitchers Knitting Club members are offering this free, two-session knitting class for beginners. Participants must register in advance at the service desk or call 701-551-8940. Limited to 10 students ages 12 and up who are able to attend both nights (other class on Sept. 3). Students should bring their own acrylic yarn and a pair of size 8 short needles.

Red River Radio Amateurs-Technician License Class (Six sessions): 7 p.m. Wednesday. Red River Radio Amateurs (RRRA) is a nonprofit ARRL affiliated Amateur Radio club serving Fargo, Moorhead, and the surrounding area. Periodically, members of the RRRA offer a series of weekly classes in preparation for FCC Amateur Radio license tests. There is no charge for instruction; however, a textbook is required, which is about $30.

Mah Jongg Gamers: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

Technology Tutoring: 4-5 p.m. Wednesday.

Upcoming Events

Pine Needle Sew and Chat: 5 p.m. Sept. 9. This pine needle basket event is open to those who have taken a Pine Needle Basketry class before. Bring your works in progress or begin a new one. Instructors will be on hand to answer questions and help with supplies. Come to work or observe. No registration required.

Red River Radio Amateurs-Technician License Class: 7 p.m. Sept. 11.
