West Fargo hosted its 2019 West Fest Saturday, Sept. 21 through Sunday, Sept. 22, with the theme of Wild, Wild West.

The festival included one of the state’s largest parades down Sheyenne Street, and two full days of family-friendly activities, mostly along Sheyenne Street.

This year’s parade has about 125 entries, down from years past when parade entries were closer to 150, to be more manageable for parade watchers. Former Mayor Rich Mattern served as grand marshall. Parade winners were: Mayor's choice: The Little Red Reading Bus West Fargo; Community pride: Western State Bank; Best in theme: West Fargo High School Class of 1979; and Best in show: West Fargo Animal Hospital.
