Red River Radio Amateurs-Extra Class (10 Sessions): 7 p.m.Wednesday. Red River Radio Amateurs is a nonprofit ARRL affiliated Amateur Radio club serving Fargo, Moorhead, and the surrounding area. Periodically, members of the RRRA offer a series of weekly classes in preparation for FCC Amateur Radio license tests. There is no charge for instruction; however, a textbook is required, which costs about $30.

Upcoming Events

Teen Movie Night: 6.30 p.m., Jan. 23. The Teen Advisory Group will vote on their choice of movie for this special event. Free popcorn and refreshments will be provided. Program is free and open to teens in grades 6-12.

Pine Needle Baskets Beginners’ Class: 10 a.m. Jan. 25. Join skilled weaver and North Dakota artist Eileen McEnroe for a class on pine needle basket weaving. This session is suitable for those with no basket weaving experience. Participants must register in advance at the Service Desk with a $15 non-refundable supply fee. Class limited to 12 participants. Currently class is full but you can sign up for the waiting list.

Pine Needle Sew and Chat: 1 p.m. Jan. 26. These basket events are open to anyone who has taken a Pine Needle Basketry class either at the West Fargo Public Library or elsewhere. Bring your works in progress or begin a new one. Instructors will be on hand to answer questions and help with supplies. Come to work or observe. No registration required.
