The West Fargo Library has received multiple inquires regarding its reopening. At this time, a date has not been set for the library’s reopening. The West Fargo Public Library continues to work with other City of West Fargo departments to monitor the situation surrounding COVID-19 and to make choices in the best interest of public safety.

During this difficult time, the West Fargo Public Library is excited to offer digital versions of their popular programs on their website www.westfargolibrary.org and via Facebook @WestFargoLibrary.

10:30 a.m., Mondays on Facebook Live – Wiggle Worms Baby Storytime with Ms. Brittany

“Wiggle Worms Baby Storytime” is an activity for infants through two-year-old children and their parents. Each “Wiggle Worms Baby Storytime” session features multiple book readings, songs, rhymes, and a sensory activity. After being featured on Facebook Live, each video is added to the WFPL YouTube page.

3 p.m., Tuesdays – Happy to Help with Kirsten Henagin

Each week, Kirsten Henagin, Adult Services Manager, will release an episode of her “Happy to Help” vlog. Kirsten will address a number of topics for adults, from career development and cooking tips and resources, to mental health tips and resources. These videos will be featured on Facebook and Youtube.

10:30 a.m., Wednesdays on Facebook Live, YouTube – Preschool Explorer Storytime with Ms. Brittany

“Preschool Explorers Storytime” targets children aged 3 – 5 and features multiple books, songs and activities. After being featured on Facebook Live, each video is added to the WFPL YouTube page.

11 a.m., Wednesdays – Children’s Craft with Ms. Brittany

Each Wednesday, following “Preschool Explorers Storytime,” Ms. Brittany will share a craft related to her storytime that children can do at home. This video can be found on Facebook and YouTube.

Other programs:

West Fargo Public Library’s Online Book Club is a program for adults aimed to keep readers engaged with other book lovers. Interested patrons can join the Facebook group at http://bit.ly/WFPLOnlineBookClub. The group is still open to new participants. A West Fargo Public Library card is not required to participate, but is recommended to more easily access e-books.

The West Fargo Public Library e-card program also remains available. E-cards allow those who do not have a library card to gain access to digital books and media, research databases, online learning opportunities and more.
