On Monday, May 11, the West Fargo Public Library will offer no-contact curbside material pickup. Items including books, audiobooks, DVDs and music CDs can now be checked out.
Patrons can place holds via My Library Account, over the phone at 701-551-8940 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. After submitting a hold request, patrons must call 701-551-8940 to select an appointment time to pick up their items.
Curbside pickup is available from 11 a.m.to 1 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
More detail will be made available to patrons upon making an appointment for pickup. No physical contact will be made between staff and the public.
During this time, items can only be returned using the book drop near the library entrance. All due dates for materials have been extended until June 10.
The following services will NOT be available during this time:
• Paying fines
• Copying and printing, faxing, scanning, etc.
• Notary services
• Applications for full-access library cards
Library Bingo Card: To participate in West Fargo Public Library Bingo, patrons must share their winning card with the library via Facebook, Nextdoor or via email to email@example.com by 10a.m. Friday, May 15. The winner will receive a WFPL prize package valued at $25.
West Fargo Public Library at Home! will air videos on Facebook and YouTube:
• 10:30 a.m., Mondays: Wiggle Worms Baby Storytime with Ms. Brittany
“Wiggle Worms Baby Storytime” is an activity for infants through two-year-old children and their parents. Each session features multiple book readings, songs, rhymes and a sensory activity. Each video is added to the WFPL YouTube page.
• 10:30 a.m., Wednesdays: Preschool Explorer Storytime with Ms. Brittany
“Preschool Explorers Storytime” targets children aged 3 – 5 and features multiple books, songs and activities. Each video is added to the WFPL YouTube page after airing.
• 11 a.m., Wednesdays: Children’s Craft with Ms. Brittany
Each Wednesday, following “Preschool Explorers Storytime,” Ms. Brittany will share a craft related to her storytime that children can do at home.
West Fargo Public Library’s Online Book Club is a program for adults aimed to keep readers engaged with other book lovers. Interested patrons can join the Facebook group. The group reads one book per month. Discussion questions are posted weekly. The May novel will be "The Sacrament" by Olaf Olafsson.
E-cards: E-cards allow those who do not have a library card to gain access to digital books and media, research databases, online learning opportunities and more.
