Regular events

Friday Morning Movie – “Dr. Seuss – The Lorax”: 10:30 a.m. Friday. Celebrate Arbor Day with this showing of the Dr. Seuss classic. Follow along as the brave Lorax speaks for the trees and tries to stop the greedy, tree-chopping Once-lers and save the vanishing forest. (Rated E)

Genealogy: Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Bring projects or just ask questions.

Simply Stories: 10:15 a.m. Tuesday. This session is geared for lap babies and preschoolers and is just stories – no crafts. For stories and simple make-and-take crafts, visit the library at 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays. Registration is not required.

Storytime with a Craft – Mother’s Day: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Story times are geared for preschool through first-grade age children and their caretakers. Day cares are welcome, but for groups larger than five, please call ahead to (701) 433-5460. Registration is not required.

Twisted Stitchers (formerly Knitty Giddy Knitters): 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Join this fun group for an evening of knitting or crochet. Come with your own supplies. Not for beginners, but tips will be given to knitters and crocheters needing help. No preregistration required.

Ham Radio: 7 p.m. Wednesday. Sessions are open to adults and accompanied children interested in learning more about ham radio.

Technology Class – Introduction to hoopla: 1 p.m. May 5. Join us as we explore hoopla, the library’s newest streaming and downloading service (books and movies).Space is limited. Please register at the service desk. Free.

Mother’s Day Card Making: 6:30 p.m. May 5. Join us for our Mother’s Day card making event. We have all the supplies needed to make a beautiful card for that important woman in your life. Open to all ages. No registration required.

New Release Movie – “The 5th Wave”: 2 p.m. May 7. After four waves of increasingly deadly alien attacks leave Earth in complete disorder, Cassie is running and fighting to save her brother’s life and her own. Rated PG-13. Free and open to the public. Free popcorn.


The Homework Center is open 3-5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday when school is in session.
