FARGO - An inaugural event taking place at the North Dakota Horse Park here Friday, July 20, will highlight local agriculture in a variety of food and beverages.
The first Taste of Ag event is set for 7 to 10:30 p.m. Friday at the Horse Park, 5180 19th Ave. N.
Presented by Butler Machinery, the event will include a meal and a Summit Dakota Soul pilsner, which is made from 100 percent North Dakota-grown barley. Culinary collaborators include Brewtus' Brickhouse, Sidestreet Catering, Potato Brothers Food Truck, Proof Artisan Distillers and Pan-O-Gold Bakery, while entertainment will be provided by musician Mick Klein. Summit Brewing Co. Founder Mark Stutrud will be the guest of honor.
Horse Park General Manager Mike Schmitz said in a news release that the event is a new way to highlight the importance of agriculture here.
