Cheney Middle School gets counseling award
The West Fargo Cheney Middle School counseling department received the Award to Counseling Excellence at the Mid-Winter Conference in Bismarck.
The award was presented to school counselors Carolyn Fraase, Lisa Klabunde, Kathleen Farahmand and Amy Meier for meeting or exceeding 12 professional standards indicative of a top-notch, comprehensive program.
The team is now eligible to apply for RAMP (Recognized ASCA Model Program) status through the American School Counselor Association.
District 22 forum slated in Casselton
District 22 will hold a legislative public forum at 10 a.m. March 28 at the Central Cass School Library/Media Center, 802 5th St. N., Casselton.
The District 22 representatives are Sen. Gary Lee, Rep. Wesley Belter and Rep. Pete Sibernagel.
District 22 includes rural areas, Casselton and West Fargo.
Fundraiser dodgeball tournament March 19
The Chuck It Dodgeball Tournament will be held March 19 at the Cheney Middle School Gymnasium.
The event is a fundraiser for the Dakota Medical Foundation’s Lend A Hand charity.
The event will feature activities for all ages and there will be a silent auction. The tournament is open to all West Fargo middle and high school students and staff. Registration forms can be found in the PE offices of the middle and high schools.
