Special Events

Fort Lincoln Display: Oct. 1 — Dec. 31. Visit this display of materials from the North Dakota State Historical Society on the Fort Lincoln Internment Camp located in Bismarck.

New Release Movie — "Cars 3": 10:30 a.m. Friday. Race car Lightning McQueen is back in the newest movie in the Cars series. McQueen suffers a severe crash while trying to compete with a younger rival named Jackson Storm. Afterwards, McQueen embraces new technologies as he trains for a return to the racetrack. Free movie and popcorn. Rated G.

STEM Class: 1 p.m. Monday. Kids will participate in fun experiments and science projects. The library will be partnering with the Inspire Innovation Lab. Program is free and open to kids in grades K-5. Registration required.

Technology Class — Intro to RBdigital: 1 p.m. Tuesday. Learn how to use the library's newest online resource. RBdigital offers hundreds of eMagazines, audiobooks and eBooks all in one mobile app. Space is limited. Please register at the service desk or by calling (701) 433-5460. Free.

Regular Events

Genealogy: Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Bring projects or just ask questions.

Simply Stories: 10:15 a.m. Tuesday. This session is geared for lap babies and preschoolers and is just stories — no crafts. For stories and simple make-and-take crafts, visit the library at 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays. Registration is not required.

Storytime with a Craft: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Story times are geared for preschool through first grade age children and their caretakers. Daycares are welcome, but for groups larger than five, please call ahead at (701) 433-5460. Registration is not required.

Twisted Stitchers: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Join this fun group for an evening of knitting or crochet. Come with your own supplies. Not for beginners, but tips will be given to knitters and crocheters needing help. No pre-registration required.

Upcoming Events

Holiday Open House: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 2. Browse the library's meeting room for the Holiday fiction (adult, teen and children's), cookbooks, traditions, crafts, entertaining, music, and dvds available at West Fargo Public Library. All items will be available for checkout. Free and open to the public.

Santa Visits the Library: 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 2. Ho! Ho! Ho! Santa will be visiting the library this afternoon! We will be making a fun, holiday project. All will have an opportunity to visit with Santa Claus himself, talk about your year, and share your wish list.

Announcements

The library will be closed on Nov. 23 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The afterschool program will be open Monday through Friday (when school is in session) from 3-5:30 p.m.
