WEST FARGO-Police arrested a man on multiple drug-related and fleeing charges following a pursuit here on Sunday, Jan. 7.
According to a news release, West Fargo police tried to pull over a suspected stolen vehicle in the 1600 block of 9th St. E. just after 1:30 a.m., but the driver did not stop and fled.
Police pursued the vehicle north of the city into the 1300 block of 19th Ave. N.W., where they disabled it with a tire deflation device.
Officers arrested David Schiebe, 42, of Grafton, N.D., on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia, fleeing in a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, reckless driving, reckless endangerment, possession of stolen property, possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana paraphernalia, driving under suspension and five outstanding warrants.
A search of court records indicates Schiebe has a lengthy history of similar crimes in North Dakota and several charges in Minnesota dating back to 2000.
Schiebe was taken to the Cass County Jail.
An employee there said Schiebe "was not being cooperative" for a mugshot, so a mugshot from when Schiebe was jailed in 2015 on similar charges was provided.
