FARGO-Officers arrested a man here on fleeing and driving under the influence charges following a high-speed, daytime pursuit.
A North Dakota Highway Patrol trooper tried to stop a speeding vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 18, about seven miles south of Casselton, N.D., at 1:50 p.m., Saturday, April 21.
The driver didn't stop and the trooper pursued the 1990 Chevrolet Blazer, which accelerated to a top speed of 106 mph, the Patrol said in a release.
The vehicle continued northbound on Highway 18 until it entered eastbound I-94, where troopers tried to use a spike strip tire deflation device twice, without success.
The pursuit covered approximately 25 miles, ending at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, where the driver was taken into custody without incident.
Joshua Wolters, 21, of Enderlin, N.D., was arrested on charges of DUI, driving under suspension, fleeing a police officer and reckless driving.
There were no injuries to the officers or Wolters during the incident.
The Patrol was assisted by the West Fargo Police Department.
