The West Fargo VFW is ready to move into its new at Sheyenne Plaza, and will likely begin moving on Sunday, June 10.

Post Commander Brad Reed said moving will begin Sunday and the VFW plans to close its location at 308 Sheyenne St. on Monday, June 11.

The move is expected to take about a week and the VFW hopes to reopen by Monday, June 18. The VFW was slated to begin its move from 308 Sheyenne St. into Sheyenne Plaza in April and but legal work delayed the move.

Instead, the VFW remains open and operating at its current location.

West Fargo Economic Services Director Matt Marshall said the delay was caused by a title misunderstanding.

"The title wasn't ready, and now they are working to get it all straightened out," Marshall said last month.

The paperwork included agreements regarding common space inside Sheyenne Plaza that will be used by all tenants, but there were no major construction issues, Marshall said.
