Packer Backers to host social and breakfast fundraisers

The West Fargo Packer Backers will be kicking off their 2018-2019 school year fundraising efforts with a Packer Pride Social and Back to School Breakfast.

The Packer Pride Social will be held on Friday, Sept. 7, at Bar Nine and will begin

following the home football game against the Sheyenne Mustangs.

Attendees wearing Packer gear will receive beverage specials, free appetizers and may purchase raffle tickets for prizes. Individuals must be 21 years or older to attend the event.

The Back to School Breakfast will be held on Sunday, Sept. 9 at the new West

Fargo VFW.

The event will be a free-will offering and is open to all ages. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, coffee and orange juice will be served starting at 8 a.m. m until 12:30 p.m. with the event ending at 1 p.m. Attendees can sign-up or renew a Packer Backer membership and purchase additional Packer gear.

Park District fall rummage sale

The 24th annual Fall Rummage Sale will be on Saturday, 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8, at the Veterans Memorial Arena at 1201 7th Ave E. in West Fargo.Items for sale will include traditional garage sale items, closeout merchandise, collectibles, crafts, antiques and home-based businesses.

Admission is just $1 per person, and the event is free for those under 17 years of age.

Horace Bean Days this weekend

Horace Bean Days in Horace, will be held Sept. 7 and 8.

The event features many family friendly activities including carriage rides, art

workshop, pancake feed, parade, car show, vendors, bean bag tournament, corn

on the cob eating competition and a, street dance.

Horace Bean Days has been a staple event of the city for many years, it used to be

known as Community Days.
