Julia Roberts Movie Month — "Wonder": 1 p.m. Thursday. Wonder tells the story of August Pullman, a boy with facial differences who enters public school for the first time as a fifth grader. Based on the bestselling book by R.J. Palacio. PG. Free popcorn. Free admission.
Calligraphy Workshop Series: 1:30 p.m. Sunday. The West Fargo Public Library hosts Anne Kaese teaching a three-session class. Register at the Service Desk in advance with a $15 non-refundable supply fee payable to Anne Kaese. Open to high school and adults.
Laid-Back Winter Book Club: Jan. 7 — Mar. 20. When each book is returned, participants will be invited to register for coffee gift cards, courtesy of the Friends of the Library.

The Next Chapter Book Club - Evening: 7 p.m. Monday. Group discussion of "Saints for All Occasions" by J. Courtney Sullivan. Copies of the book and discussion questions are available in advance at the service desk.
Simply Stories: 10:15 a.m. Tuesday. This session is geared for lap babies and preschoolers and is just stories — no crafts. For stories and simple make-and-take crafts, visit the library at 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays. Registration is not required.
Storytime with a Craft: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Story times are geared for preschool through first grade age children and their caretakers. Daycares are welcome, but for groups larger than five, please call ahead at (701) 433-5460. Registration is not required.
After-school Art: 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Join us for art, crafts, and other projects every Tuesday afternoon, when school is in session. No registration required. Supplies and a snack will be provided. Free and open to kids in grades K-8.
Twisted Stitchers: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Join this fun group for an evening of knitting or crochet. Come with your own supplies. Not for beginners, but tips will be given to knitters and crocheters needing help. No pre-registration required.

Hands on Engineering: Mazes: 10:30 a.m. Jan. 21. Hands-on engineering. Kids will be able to design and build a variety of mazes including marble runs and more. Program is free and open to kids grades two and up.
Pine Needle Basketry Exhibit: Jan. 21 — May. View exquisite hand-stitched baskets created by North Dakota Pine Needle Artist Eileen McEnroe and her students.
