Healthwise for Women: Popular Diets—Healthful and Not-so-Healthful: 6 p.m. Tuesday. Rita Ussatis, Cass County Extension agent, presents Popular Diets-Healthful and Not-so Healthful. Free and open to the public. Refreshments.
STEM Explorers: 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Explore STEM Activities, experiments, and games every Thursday afternoon. No registration required. Supplies and a snack will be provided. Free and open to kids in grades 3-8.
Technology Tutoring: 10:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday. Tutors show how to borrow library eBooks and audiobooks on your device from OverDrive, Hoopla and RBdigital. No registration needed.
Genealogy Help: Noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Staff Genealogist Jackie Marler will be available at the Historical Center located on the library's main floor.
Simply Stories: 10:15 a.m. Tuesday. Geared for lap babies and preschoolers and is just stories — no crafts. 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays. Registration is not required.
Storytime with a Craft: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Story times are geared for preschool through first grade age children and their caretakers. Daycares are welcome, but for groups larger than five, please call ahead at (701) 433-5460. Registration is not required.
After-school Art: 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. Art, crafts, and other projects every Tuesday afternoon (when school is in session). No registration required. Supplies and a snack will be provided. Free and open to kids in grades K-8.
Twisted Stitchers: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Join this fun group for an evening of knitting or crochet. Come with your own supplies. Not for beginners, but tips will be given to knitters and crocheters needing help. No pre-registration required.
Lego and Game Club: 4 p.m. Wednesday. Stop in every Wednesday afternoon (when school is in session) for Legos and board games. No registration required. Open to kids in grades K-8.
Technology Tutoring: 4-5 p.m. Wednesday.
Ham Radio Operators: 7 p.m. Wednesday. Open to all adults and children (with attending adult) who want to learn more about ham radio operation. For more information, contact Bob Kirkeby at 701-541-3411.
Dr. Seuss STEM Storytime: 10:30 a.m. April 27. Begin with a few Dr. Seuss stories and then explore with a few special science experiments.
Digitize and Preserve Your Family History: 1 p.m. April 27. Attendees are invited to bring 1-3 photos or single page documents to digitize. Jump drives will be available to take a digital copy home or attendees may bring their own. This event is free and open to the public.
Sweet Treats 101: 1 p.m. April 27. Learn how to make truffles and decorate cookies. Register in advance at 701-551-8940 as seating is limited. Free. Open to high school students and adults.
Pine Needle Sew & Chat: 1 p.m. April 28. Open to all who have taken a Pine Needle Basketry class either at the West Fargo Public Library or elsewhere. Bring works in progress or begin a new one. Bring work or observe. No registration required. Call Adult Services at 701-551-8948 with any questions.
Good Conversations Open Book Discussion — "The Library Book" by Susan Orlean: 2 p.m. April 28. Free and open book discussion led by West Fargo resident Dixon Moorhead. Copies of the book and discussion questions are available at the library's Service Desk.
Lego Mania: 6:30 p.m. April 29. The library has a big supply of Legos for a night full of building. Free and open to all ages.
Pine Needle Basketry Exhibit: Jan. 21 — early May. View exquisite hand-stitched baskets created by North Dakota Pine Needle Artist Eileen McEnroe and her students.
The library will be closed on April 19 for Good Friday holiday and April 21 for the Easter.
