On Monday, June 29, the Hulbert Aquatic Center and West Fargo Sports Arena will transistion inot the second phase of reopening.

Both facilities, which are owned by the West Fargo School District, reopened on June 15.

The Hulbert Aquatic Center will be open to the public 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and 6:30 -8 p.m., Monday – Friday. Private swim lessons, lap swim, restrooms, deck showers, lane rentals and aqua fitness classes will be available to guests. All season passes and punch cards for the Hulbert Aquatic Center, purchased before March 15, 2020 will be honored for the duration of the card’s validity. The facility is accepting credit card payments only.

The West Fargo Sports Arena will open to private rentals and competitions daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. During this phase, one sheet of ice will be available to guests for use in fitness, technique, development drills, and competition play.

Installation of the second sheet of ice has begun and is expected to be completed the second week of July. All guests will be asked to abide by the state’s restart protocols. Guests are asked to arrive no earlier than ten minutes before their reservation and to arrive dressed to skate. Locker rooms are available only for participants of scheduled competitions and private rentals. Restrooms and drinking fountains are not available for use.

All guests visiting the two facilities are to maintain the recommended six-foot social distancing parameter from other skaters and staff members. Guests are to avoid entering if they have a cough, fever, or other symptoms consistent with COVD-19; have recently tested positive for COVID-19 or are awaiting test results; or have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.

Lap swim: A reservation is no longer required for lap swim; guests may arrive at any time during the designated lap swim schedule. Lanes will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and guests are asked to limit their lap swim to one hour per day in an effort to accommodate as many swimmers as possible. Private coaching of any kind is prohibited during law swim hours.

Aqua Fitness Class: Aqua fitness class will be offered from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m., starting on Wednesday, July 1. The class will be limited to 15 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Guests are asked to arrive no earlier than five minutes before the class start time and to arrive dressed to swim. While locker rooms are not available, the deck showers are available for guests to rinse off before and after pool use.

Private swimming lessons: Guests are asked to arrive no earlier than five minutes before their reservation and to arrive dressed to swim. Seating will be available on deck for the parent/guardian.

Decisions regarding facility operations are made based on recommendations from Fargo Cass Public Health, North Dakota Department of Health, and the Centers for Disease Control. Any changes made to facility operations or programming, including the transition to phase three, will be communicated on the facility’s website and social media platforms.
