LIDGERWOOD, N.D. — A pilot escaped a plane crash without being hurt around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 16.

Danny Thompson of Wyndmere, N.D., was flying the crop-dusting plane, when it had to make an emergency landing because of mechanical issues about 8 miles northwest of Lidgerwood.

During the landing, the left wing of the plane hit a telephone pole, causing minor damage to the pole and the wing of the plane.

The crash remains under investigation.
