One dead after deer runs into motorcyclist on Highway 200

MERCER, ND -- A Mandan woman is dead after being involved in a fatal motorcycle crash on Saturday, June 30, at 12:56 p.m.

According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, a group of motorcycles were traveling east on Highway 200 when a deer struck a 2001 Harley Davidson with two occupants.

The driver of the 2001 Harley was thrown into the ditch and the passenger fell onto the roadway.

A 2012 Harley then hit the passenger that was on the roadway.

The driver and passenger of the 2001 Harley were taken to CHI-St. Alexius in Turtle Lake, where the passenger was pronounced dead.

The driver was then airlifted to CHI-St. Alexius in Bismarck with serious injuries.

The driver of the 2012 Harley wasn't injured.
