Man killed in crash near Bismarck identified

BISMARCK -- A 76-year-old man killed in a single-vehicle crash northwest of Bismarck on Sunday, Sept. 2, has been identified as Richard Hoge of Baldwin, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said.

Hoge was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Impala eastbound on 97th Avenue Northwest about five miles from Bismarck when he failed to negotiate a curve and went into the ditch. The vehicle struck two large trees. Hoge was pronounced dead at the crash site, the patrol said.
