North Dakota woman killed in rollover crash near Tappen identified

TAPPEN, N.D. — The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the 38-year-old woman killed in a rollover crash on Interstate 94 north of Tappen about 7:40 a.m. Wednesday, April 24.

Elizabeth Monger of Strasburg was driving east on I-94 in a 2005 Chrysler Town & Country minivan when it went into the median and back onto the highway. She lost control of the vehicle, and it rolled coming to rest in the south ditch, the patrol said in a news release.

Monger, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the minivan and died at the scene, the patrol said.

Tappen is about 45 miles west of Jamestown in Kidder County.
